Now that we are firmly into the second half of the Premier League season, those of us at Mas Que Un Blog have been discussing our team of the season so far, with varying results.
The fixtures thus far have thrown up some consistent performers and brilliant matchwinners. So who would you have in your team and why?

My Team.
Def: Rafael, Vidic, Kompany, Cole
Mid: Van Der Vaart, Nasri, Nani, Adam
Forwards: Berbatov, Tevez
Rafael has been one of the revelations of the season, and whilst it's sad to see G. Neville retire, the emergence of the young Brazillian must have been instrumental in the decision. Vidic has been a rock as ever.
I've picked out Kompany as City's watertight defence deserves mention. Seriosuly underrated.
In midfield, Van Der Vaart has performed way above Harry Redknapp's expectations. To have adapted so quickly to the Premier League when we demand that other expensive acquisitions are only to be judged 'after a season' shows his true class.
Talking of class, Samir Nasri is my player of the season. Skill, lightening speed that I never though he had in the locker, technical brilliance and goals aplenty have fired Arsenal into serious contention.
Up front, Dimitar Berbatov seems finally to have woken up and decided to show us what he's capable of consistently.
Although Tevez-gate gave everyone at Eastlands a wobble, the Argentina has yet again been in fine form for City in their title pursuit.
Robinson
Rafael Kompany Vidic A Cole
Nani Tiote Adam Nasri
Tevez Carrol
Tiote is a bold one?
Top, top player. He has been a revelation since his arrival this season. Every time I watch Newcastle he is immense and a huge factor behind their success this season. Very similar to De Jong and Mascherano in his dominance in front of the back four.
Fully agree with Si's comments about Tiote, he has been immense. My side so far would be:
Foster
Rafael, Vidic, Kompany, Enrique
Nani, VdV, Tiote, Nasri
Tevez, Berbatov
I'd stick Joey Barton in too but I'd probably be accused of bias ;-)
Enrique over Cole for me, he has been far and away the best performer for Newcastle this season. Great player.
Welcome Atilla.
Good to see people backing Kompany :)
Enrique has been a star performer this season, agreed. I was loathe to put A Cole in there due to Chelsea's lull in form but went with it anyway.
Talk of 'Arry and SAF being interested in Enrique. Reckon you'll be able to keep hold of him?
Also, I forgot to put a keeper in. Hart. Defo.
Enrique has really impressed me too. Surprised by how good he actually is. Good shout.
How you feeling about losing Carroll?
Well there's bound to be interest in Enrique, dunno if we'll be able to hold on to him. He'd credit any side so no wonder that Ferguson and Wheeler-Dealer are looking at him.
As for Carroll, well its a tough one, we are so bloody light up front it's scary.
Yes £35m is a lot of money, probably far more than he is worth - but £35m is essentially meaningless to me.
That money wont be reinvested in the squad, so basically a fat rich man I dislike has become considerable richer at the expense of my team
Looks like both MU and Spurs will be in the market for a left back in the summer. Talk of Evra leaving Old Trafford and Benoit Assou-Ekotto just can't defend.
Maybe take heart from the £12m offer for N'Zogbia? You're right though, I fully expect the majority of that cash to go into Ashley's pockets.
my team
foster
rafael vidic kompany cole
song modric nani adam
tevez berbatov
Welcome Anthony!
Song is a brave choice - ahead of Nasri? on what basis?
Back 4s have been VERY consistent.
song has been arsenals most essential figure this year. nasri has been brilliant but only really shone when fabergas has been injured.song holds the team together and is brilliant defensively and offensively
You could really have done with some investment this transfer window though....?
we needed to buy a defender. i cannot wenger did not buy one.it could cost us badly.
I think you're short on keepers too.
Why does that man refuse to spend money!?
